Q: I am female and I have recently been getting terrible migraines when Im sexual aroused,

I'm nowhere near climax, we have usually just began.

We have never been able to have sex because I get these migraines just by him touching or rubbing me down there. It is a throbbing pain like I have never felt before,in the front, top and back of my head. I do get slightly nausoeus and blurried vision. He can even feel my head throbbing when he lays his head against mine. Im 30 yrs old and this has never happened to me before. All the info im finding is for headaches are pre or post orgasm, mine is WAY before. Is there anything I can do to prevent it? Am I doing something wrong or Is he? please help!!

Hi krislee,

Even though it is "way before" as you put it, sexual activity can trigger a Migraine attack for some people. Take a look at this article for more information;

Orgasmic and Preorgasmic Headache - The Basics.

Having said that, this really needs to be discussed with your doctor to rule out any other conditions. Please contact him/her to talk about this.

Good luck

Nancy
