Hi jasonstewart,

That sounds pretty painful. I'd really like to help you with an answer to your question, but can't, because it cannot be adequetly answered online. A diagnosis can only be provided by a doctor who can review your medical history, your family's medical history, discuss your symptoms, and conduct a complete exam in person.

Have you spoken with your doctor yet? That would be the first thing I would do. Let him/her know what is going on, get a appointment and get yourself checked out.

Ice-Pick Headache has as some of its major symptoms stabbing like pain in the head and eye area. Sometimes behind the ear, but I suppose it could happen in the neck too, if it is in the upper neck area. But I am not a medical professional so you'd have to check with your doctor on that. When you get a chance take a look at this article: Ice Pick Headaches - The Basics.

Good luck

Nancy
