I've had migraines for 33 years and have been diagnosed with high blood pressure. What is the best rescue medicine? I am also being treated for GERD, stomach ulcer, and depression.

There is no "best" medication. It depends largely on what works for you.
Are you using any abortive medication - medications that work in the brain to stop the Migrainous process? The triptans such as Imitrex, Maxalt, Zomig, etc., and the ergotamines such as DHE and Migranal shouldn't be used with UNCONTROLLED high blood pressure, but many doctors are comfortable prescribing them when the blood pressure is well controlled with medication. Midrin, another type of abortive medication is often prescribed for patients with uncontrolled high blood pressure.
All of that said, since you have GERD and a stomach ulcer, doctors will probably avoide prescribing NSAIDs such as indomethacin, Toradol, ketorolac, etc., because they are very hard on the stomach. That sill leaves pain medications and a few others for rescue. You can read more about this and find for suggestions for rescue in our article Preventive, Abortive, and Rescue Medications - What's the Difference?
Especially with your medical history, this is a conversation that you need to have with your doctor in detail.
Good luck,
Teri
