What is the connection between Migraine w/Aura and repeated Candidias?

I have Familial Hemiplephic Migraine & Status Migraine & Status Aura that is responding to Calcium Blockers. It is complicated during severe hayfever season and high winds. Then Seroids are used from the allergist and the migraine doctor to handle prolonged migraine.

Steroids always give me thrush and monillia and fungal throat problems.  Doctors have ruled out any type of fungus besides Candidias.

Any ideas to stop the cycle?  I am also using Candidias Alternative Supplements from the Health Food Store which seem to help.

Thanks,

Mary Mac

Hi mary

I'm not sure there is a connection, but there is a supplement called acidophilus ( this is found in yogart) you may want to look into after talking with your doctor.

As far as Status Migrainous goes, that shouldn't be an ongoing condition. For more information on that you can read this article: Status Migrainous - The Basics

Good Luck
