Q: What is the pediatric dose of reglan, for a 10 year old?

Teri,

Thanks for all the info regarding migrains. The child lives in Bangladesh, and we are taking him to Dr. Ravishankar ASAP. Before that, we want to try the Reglan. What would the proper dose for him? I just want to verify with you as a specialist on this, before we go to a pediatrician.

Thanks,

Nighat

Glad you're going to take him to see Dr. Ravishankar. Please give him my best?

Pediatric dosing of Reglan is based on the weight of the child, and it isn't very much. Sorry, but I'm really not sure of the exact dosage. If vomiting presents a problem with oral medications, his pediatrician may prefer Phenergan because it's available in suppository form.
