is facial numness and extreme double vision and vertigo normal for an attack?

I have had ocular migraines about 4 times a year for several years (onset with pinwheels moving through vision followed by severe headache for a couple of days. Currnetly take immotrex at onset. Last Friday I had a different onset altogether: pain in neck (right side), initial vertigo/dizzyness, double vision, numness on right side of face, weakness for about 20 minute followed by light headedness and headache. Had clean CT scan today so they say it was most likely "just a migraine". Comments??? Thoughts??? (I see a neurologist on Friday)

I have visual aura that has not disappeared since April.(not saying that is normal) I have neck pain with and without the headache and always experience vertigo, dizziness and facial numbness with each attack.

My specific type of Migraine has not yet been pinpointed other than that it is with Aura. I am going to mention the information that I have been reading about Basilar Migraines on my next visit since I have experienced total loss of sight with some attacks.
