Hi leggsmalon,

I haven't tried Lyrica, but you may want to go to the discussion forum and ask our members how they are doing on it. To get to the forum, just look for the orange box marked "Manage" and click on the Migraine Forums link. Because our forums are maintained by a third party, you'll need to register for the forum. Good luck

Hey!

I was put on Lyrica about a year ago.  I had to tapper wup very slowly though, because just a little too much and it made my muscles incrediably sore.  But tappering up slowly the second time got me to the perfect point.  Other than that extreme muscle pain on the high dose, this drug has treated my well on the side effect side of things.  A little weight gain, but nothing extreme.  I tend to take the last dose hours before bed, because I was getting some intense morning grogginess issues.  And for me it has worked, well worked enough.  I was getting daily migraines, just a few days a month free of them.  And now I am at about 10-15 a month, which for me is a marked improvement.  I might even try increasing up a bit slowly now to see if I can get a better affect.  There are many potential side effects, but I never really had all that much, and that in-itself makes it high on my list.

 Cool
