No. Midrin has not been discontinued. See Availability of Midrin for Tension-Type Headaches & Migraines.

Midrin is still out there. I take it. I had to call all pharmacies in the area. It's just low supply due to drug company selling and all that crap. But, Yes. It's still out there. It helps me most the time also. So far the only abortive. However, I get stomach pains if I take too often. I really don't know about taking it while breast feeding.

Good luck!

As of today, I found out that Midrin has been discontinued.  This is the only medication that helps my migrains as well, and I've been on it for 4 years.  All the Walgreens in my area (10) are either completely out or have very few left.  As of September they were unable to get any more.  Good luck.  I'm very disappointed myself when thinking of the pain I'll experience while looking for the medication that will help me as much as Midrin has.

Cstanley,

Brand name Midrin was discontinued a year ago. It will not be manufactured again. HOWEVER, there are now companies making the generic equivalent. You can read more in Midrin for Migraine and Tension-Type Headache - Definitely Discontinued.

I hope this helps!

I've been using the generic equivalant for many years. I've never had a problem getting it. Currently I use CVS pharmacy. The generic I use is Isometh-D-Chloralphenz-APAP.
