This would be a good Ask the Clinician question.   I personally suffer from migraine and tension type headaches. I ended up with Transformed migraines and was put on Amitriptyline, which is good for Tension Type Headaches and is a daily preventive.   There are over 100 medications used for migraine and headache prevention.   From your question, it sounds like you are not yet diagnosed....your best bet would be to go to a doctor and describe your symptoms.
