Hi, I am having pain on the back of my head for the last week. It's a dull, constant pain that's been the same since the first day. My doctor suggested a painkiller, but it hasn't helped. Does anyone know what might cause this problem?

I'm very sorry you're having to endure this kind of pain. I'm wondering what your doctor's diagnosis was for you?

Unfortunately, we can't help you diagnose a problem over the internet. Only your doctor can do that. Only your doctor can look at you, talk to you, and put together enough information for diagnosis and treatment. Please look to your physician for this kind of advice.

If you are not already, I do suggest that you get the help of a Migraine and headache specialist. These doctors are specially trained to help those of us with troublesome headache symptoms. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special?

I hope this has been at least a little helpful for you.
