Q: I am on the 4th day of a horrible migraine. I can't keep any food or liquids down and the only thing that helps is lying down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I woke up Monday morning and within 10 minutes of getting out of bed had an instant headache. I have been vomiting since Monday afternoon, so I went to the ER on Tuesday. They did a CT scan and a spinal tap and said everything looked ok so they sent me home with some anti nausea medication and pain pills. Its now Thursday and I am feeling the same. I can't get out of bed without intense throbbing pain and almost throwing up. The only thing that makes it feel better is lying down. I am 22 and have never had a migraine or a headache like this. I have missed 3 days of work and can't keep going like this.

Im sorry to hear your not doing well.  I too am going through day 5 of pain.  I put ice on the back of my neck to help and on my forehead.  Ive had a CT and MRI done and nothing was found.  Are you seeing a nurologist?  It maybe time for them to step in and do a Depakot IV.  That is what has to happen with me if it goes past a certain number of days.  Again, Im so sorry that you are going through the pain.  Good luck on getting rid of it and let us know how you are doing.
