Hi Felicia,

How often are you having infusions? If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

We do have information on IV fusions I'll be happy to share with you, but the main goal of a Migraine management plan is to reduce the number and severity of attacks. If you need infusions too frequently, your preventive medications may not be working well. There are over 100 medications available for Migraine prevention, so don't lose hope just yet. Take a look at this article for more information on preventives, Migraine Preventive Medications - Too Many Options To Give Up!   Here is the information on IV infusion: IV Treatment of Refractory Migraines

I hope this helps,

Nancy

Are they working? If you aren't pain free, time for a new doctor? Those links I gave you have great info in them? What did you think?
