Q: can migraines cause tingling and burning sensation on top of head?

For the past 5 months, I have had slight pain on the right side along with burning and tingling sensation on the right side of head and jaw. The tingling and burning sensation is sometimes on top of my head as well. I have been to two neurologists that say that this is chronic headaches along with paresthia. Has anyone experienced this? There is not one minute in the day that I am not tingling and burning near my right side of my head, jaw, or on top of head. The only time the pain stops is when I go to sleep and when I first wake up. The tinging and burning starts about an hour after I wake up and continues until I fall asleep. I have had lab reports, hormone tests, thyroid tests, mri of brain which all have been normal. I had a cervical spine mri that showed stenois on the right side. However, both neurologists believe that is not causing my pain. Any stories, thoughts, or suggestions of what to do from here would be helpful

I get right sided tingling not only on my head but down my arm and leg my Do and nuroligest both say this is normal for some migraraine suffers. I will even sometime feel like people are talking to me in a tunnel . But no one has been able to find a medication to provent my migrains and I have been to migrain spec. Every med they put me on I have tarable side effects. I am supose to go to the U of M and see a speciaist their my husband and I are hoping and praying they can help me . I have suffered a migrain ptitty much since april. Some are sever and some are mild. The last medication I tried elavil was the worst . My 10 year old had to call an ambulance because I lost the ablity to use any of my limbs and I could barley talk . This was very scary for my 10 and 6 year old they both thought I was dieing alon with my husband. Is been 2 weeks and my 6 year old still ask me everyday if I am alright he hates leaving me to go to school. My family is at its wits end and we are all afraid of me taking any other proventive medication. The only good  thing I have on my side is my mother has a masters in nursing so she helps me alot right know we are living with her and my dad.

I get migraines anywhere from 1 to 3 times a month for about a year now. Well starting yesterday, I got this almost hot, sharp kind of tingling pain in the upper left part of my brain. But it seemed to be isolated to one spot, so much so as I could just point to it. It only happened twice and seemed to flare up when I got hot because I was doing a lot, like vaccuming or laundry. It was really weird and it made me have a mini panic attack. I'd never felt anything like it before. I tried not to think about it and let it go, but this morning it feels like a tingling feeling around the same spot, only it doesn't hurt or feel hot like yesterday. So it seems like a similar thing... only I don't have insurance at the moment so I haven't been to any doctors. There was a point yesterday after the 2nd time where I almost wanted to go to the hospital and tell them to do an MRI on me lol How stupid would I have looked? It did freak me out though...

I have exactly the samething, (just like you described)...and doctors can't figure out what it is.Burning ,tingling sensation on the side of my head starts about after an hour, when i wake up, and lasts untill i go to sleep. They say it has to do with the nerve....I am so tired of it....

Hi everyone, I have the same thing as you all do, weird or what. I have sharp burning tingling pain on my right side of my head. I get tingling and burning down my arms and legs as well. I also get weak when it comes on like one of the other people said, my hubby also called an ambulance. He and my childrens were so very scared! I have had two mri's x-rays, blood tests, scans etc etc and was told all down to migraines. Can that be right? freaks me out so badly that I now have aniexty and panic attacks. I have been to A&E so many times they know me by first name. I have three kids and one is only 2, I get scared to be alone. I have been like this since last Feb and know one knows what is wrong. There seem to be sooo many people with the same symptoms so why can they not find out what it truely is. As you can see I do not believe it is just a migraine. I maybe wrong. I hope you all will feel better soon. xx

I have had your same symptons since my hystorectomy in april 2009. I've had an MRI and have seen a nuerologists.....I had migraines right after my surgery, but have been on hormone replacement since April 2009. The migraines (horrible headaches) are gone, but now daily I have this burning, tingling sensation on the left side of my scalp. It use to be weekly, then daily, now it's daily from about an hour after I get up until I go to bed, sometimes it wakes me up during the middle of the night.....My hormone Dr thinks it's because of my hormones being out of balance after my hysterectormy, but we have tried every type of BHRT and nothing so far seems to help. It's like living with chronic pain, it's driving me crazy.

here is what it is....

vestibular nerve

reason the issues occur are fluid in head... specifically inner ear....

you can take certain herbs etc to help but there is really only one way to cure.... and it is the reason this is epidemic...

hormones get out of whach with improper sleep cycle... there is only one path... bed by 9 to 930 LATEST... arise by 5:5:30 latest

upon arising drink 1L warm water(add 1tsp Sole to water-this will help balance water retention) and then go for 45 min brisk walk. some yoga and then do some pranayama.

within 30 to 45 days of doing this every day it will go... stop and it will return.

Just the last week, i was at home with my family, when suddenly, i fingers felt the tingling feeling which spread to my entire right side.. I could not even remove my flip-flop from my feet.. I started losing context of what I was talking about to my family and my speech became slurpy.  I laid down for some rest, but when i woke up the tingling feeling was still there and i could not even hold anything in my right hand.. Got admitted in the ER, where they did the MRI,CAT scan, and multipule blood test... They said the reports should everything normal, except they feel there is a pinced nerve.. I am running from one Doc. to another, with no real treatment yet.. Within two weeks time this has now happened twice to me.. I am getting worried as i fear being alone... i am confused whether this is a case of ATypical migraine or a pinced nerve or both..???
