Alice,   Maxalt is good for some, but the side effects I had were tightening in chest and throat, some problems breathing, nausea, and tiredness. So, I couldn't take it, along with all other Triptans. I had to quit work too. It really sucks! I have been turned down for disability 2x, but my husband is being supportive. Thank God! I have to have my sleep, and sometimes, with a migraine, I need to have something to help me sleep. Phenergan is great because it relieves nausea with a migraine, and I lie down with a cold-pack on my head. This helps when I don't want to take anymore drugs. I take Midrin, and Aleive, and Darvocet. I rotate these so I don't get the MOH (migraine overuse headache) Which happens to me a lot. I hope you find something that helps. It's really hard I know. Take care. Good luck.   Denise
