I also had seizures, hear voices calling my name, I pray to God to help me. I live alone now, thrown away by my family, they don't understand me. I'm not afraid but just confused. OCD is horrible. Please advise.

Gabby,
During a Migraine, levels of neurotransmitters such as serotonin and norepinephrine are impacted. This can cause some people to have some pretty serious "mood" problems. The only time in my entire life I've ever had a panic attack is during a Migraine.
Sometimes, seizures have been caused by a Migraine aura, but that's not very common.
One thing I'd advise is to work with your doctor to be very sure that these symptoms aren't from something else. It can be very easy to attribute symptoms to Migraine when, in fact, they're from another comorbid condition. Comorbid conditions are those that occur at the same time, but neither causes the other.
If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

Terri,
I also had a episode of Sleep Paralysis. I read about it, the dark images, being frozen. I like to send you a link. This is my life, it's horrible. I'm afraid to sleep but with God in my heart, it's the only think i have to hang on to. I will find out about the "cormorbid conditions" - sounds scary.
Thanks for your help.
Gabby
You are not alone. I have similar problems. When I have migraine the pian is so severe I scream and scream, and also have been known to hit my head and smash things just to try and get the pain out. I have also, and am more frequently, having seizures with my migraine. Please help.
OMG...you're not alone. I was put in a nursing facility because no one could help me. I became so confused, don't remember being in the hospital, etc. I was so lost. Now, I'm controlling these issues and confronting them head on. It's not going to take over my life. My problem is overmedication. The pain is awful i get seizures, TIA's, twitching over my right or left eye with severe tearing and nasal problems, slurred speech, hearing things, sleep paralysis which is the scariest!!! And ofcourse, the horrific pain which requires hospitalization. I became so violent and combative because I've been suffering for over 35 years. Misdiagnosed like you won't believe! I hope you don't live in Tampa, Florida, the WORST doctors except for Dr. Maria Carmen Wilson and Dr. Gipson(Emeritus) who are experts in this field, wrote an abstract about my condition which is connected to my heart. I have autonomic neurocardiogenic syndrome. It means "shut down of everything" in a nutshell. I also had cancer and was told I didnt have it. I have non-hodgkins lymphoma and they found a lump in my left breast. I've probably had this for years and doctors, to me, I've just dont trust them anymore and I tell them like it is. I have new docs in Miami Beach at Mt. Sinai Med Ctr and they rock. Very sweet, understanding and they understand and angry that I was abused and neglected by the medical community in Tampa.
I suggest a headache/migraine specialist. Like Terri stated, they are some neurologist who are not specialized in this field and they like to overmedicate. See Dr. Wilson in Tampa, she rocks.
Good luck,
Gabby

thank you terri, i will go there. My migraines are worse, my neurologist put me on Morphine tablets, not working. I can't bear it. He will resume the botox treatments, 36 injections in one session 4 times a year. I shaved my hair off because the meds dried the cuticles in my hair, I was literally pulling it out. It feels better shorter, pratically bald and what a relief. I live in south beach and I go to the beach where there is lots of cool breezes around sunset. It's soothing on the mind and I can think a little better, my eyesight is worse due to the glaucoma. I still hear voices and feel all alone. My dad paid for my ticket to come home for christmas, I don't know how to react to my mother whom is NOT and NEVER understanding. I don't know if this trip will be cut short.
Anyway, thank you.
Gabby
