Kat,

As Katinthecorner said, start with our listing of patient recommended specialists. Other than that, try asking your family doctor or whomever is prescribing your triptans for a recommendation.

How frequently are you taking triptans? If you're taking them more than two or three days a week and are in a medication overuse headache cycle from them, Botox may not help until you break the MOH cycle.

I would start with the Patient Recommended Migraine Specialist list here on MyMigraineConnection.

You want a migraine specialist, because if you go to a regular neurologist, they may have experience with Botox, but not for migraine, as it is used to treat some other neurological disorders.

I believe that the Botox website can also give you physician listings, just make sure you go to the Botox site, not "Botox Cosmetic".
