There's some disagreement in the medical community on this question. That may well be because none of the nerve stimulators are FDA approved for the treatment of Migraine, so there's not a great deal of data or experience available. I'd suggest asking your doctor this question. He may have a better answer depending on his experience and that of colleagues with whom he networks.

Thank you so much for your reply. My Dr. did recommend the stimulator before I had the second nerve block, now he seems to be undecided. My insurance ( I'm permanantly disabled and on Medicare and Medicaide)) covers the stimulator and the procedure he also participates with the insurance company but they don't pay as much as private insurance companies. I'm praying that this isn't his deciding factor because if it means ANY releif from these migrains, I will go anywhere, do whatever it takes. I also have dislocated jaws from an old accident and degenerative disc disease, however I was just given the good news that I survived cancer for the second time in 20 years! I just can't take the pain anymore.
