Q: how long can the paralysis last for

my daughter suffered the symptoms  of this type of migraine early this year, and still has some numbness in the lower part of her left leg. She returned to work and only managed 6 days before the headaches returned and numbness and pins and neddles returned to her left arm. she had an MRI and MRA in March which came back clear on both counts. she is now concerned that it might be something other than migraine, and would welcome some guidence

Hi Penny!

The only Migraine that has true motor weakness is Hemiplegic Migraines.

If Hemiplegic Migraine sounds like your daugther, and you have not yet been to a Migraine Specialist, I would highly recommend seeking one out. This type of Migraine really needs special attention.

Good Luck!

Eileen
