When having thyroid symptoms are they there all the time, or do the symptoms come &go periodically

As a lifetime headache sufferer, I have experienced many headaches, and recently I have found a link between my headaches and other symptoms of a thyroid problem, but Im not sure if these are actually relevent because they are not there on a daily basis. The small lump I feel on my throat...
