    Hi again,

Pretty much same answer for you too that I gave for your cousin. Sounds like it is time to see the experts who treat one disease - ours - Migraines and  headache disorders. If your doctor isn't able to help you, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.

The thing is that pain and Migraine symptoms should resolve themselves after the attack has ended. If it lasts longer than say, 24-48 hours, it needs to be investigated. You may be interested to read the article, Anatomy of a Migraine, that talks about the four phases of a Migraine for a clearer picture of what a Migraine attack really is.

    Good luck

I have a similar condition. It is called Hemiplegic Migraines. It is a rare condition and has two different subtypes: Familial and Sporadic. You can google more information and look in Teri Robert's book, "Living Well With Migraine Disease and Headaches What Your Doctor Doesn't Tell You...That You Need To Know." Hope this helps and good luck. I know how frightened and overwhelmed you must feel.
