Should i worry about too much Seratonin? My headaches Have Improved Greatly? I think it is because I am 51.I take Magnesium and Omega 3 fish oil.If I stop Lexapro I know the negitve thinking and kind off a slight OCD will start up again.

I take lexapro and midrin often with no problems. But I would consult your Dr. first, if you are really worried.

My first real experience with chronic head pain...

Thursday, June 26, 2008

Hi birdrum1,

What great news you are feeling better.

Midrin is not a triptan, rather an isometheptene compound, used to abort a Migraine attack. Care needs to be taken with certain OTC and prescription medications so we don't get another type of headache called Medication Overuse Headache. This can happen if we take these medications more than 2-3 days a week. For more information, click HERE.

Lexapro is an antidepressant, that is used to help with Migraine prevention. Are talking about Serotonin Syndrome? It is a pretty rare condition, which you can read about HERE

Good luck

Nancy
