Q: Why is it that once some women reach menopause, their regular migraines cease

Then beome very occaisonal. I used to get 3-4 migraines a month, now would be unlucky to get one every 3 - 4 months, thank goodness.

Hi jellibabi557,

 

Flucuating hormones may be to blame in this instance. And everyone's hormones react differently througout menopause. We have a really good Ask the Clinician question you can continue reading about here, Role of Hormones.

 

I'm glad to hear you have a reduction in your Migraine frequency. That is very welcome news.
