Why so many meds at once, and why not give narcotics when the pain is so bad your head is a jack ham
I've had many meds. I also suffer from anxiety and bipolar, and it makes it very diffucult to treat my migraines, considering treatment is usually with serotonin reuptakers. I have to be on several meds at once, and my cost is around 500.00 bucks a month, which is killing us. Also, it causes mega fights, because we can't pay bills. But, through the Diamond Headache Clinic I have found Biofeedback, which no one talks about. It tends to be a very integral part of my healing and dealing. It has alot to do with breathing and relaxation. Which none of us Moms get enough of. It is something to consider. If you don't want to do the biofeedback at least do some diaphramatic breathing and give yourself a timeout. Sometimes you only need alone time in the dark and a little relaxation. But, I still have to take lots of meds. But, I have ridden myself of almost half of them. That's a great step in the right direction! But, still taking to much meds and need to get off of these, what's next?
I am sure I do not take as muh medication as you - but I have felt kinda toxic from too much medication.
My mom is a nutrionist and really into holistic therapies. She gave me some probiotic supplements, and some other things to help with digestion. I'm not at home right now but I will look and be more specific if you are interested.
I've noticed feeling a little bettr since taking them. I feel like my body is working more efficiently for itself. This is the only thing she has tried on me yet but there are actually several other treatments she has suggested. I don't live near her so I haven't had any of them but if you want I can give you the website of her business. They are based in NC and Tennessee.
