Q: treating the nausea more than the pain

Hi,  I get migraines but most of the time without the pain but severe nausea.  Is there a medication (prescription or otc) that treats the nausea (& works fast) of a mirgraine? Thank you

hello, pretty much anything that helps with the nausea will make you feel sleepy/and/or sedated, which requires lying down.  My doctor has prescribed phenergan pills and suppositories(for when I can't get pills to stay down).  The suppositories work faster - talk with your doctor about what's right for you and don't suffer any more than necessary!

My doctor prescribed phenergan suppositories for me which work very well - make you very sleepy - but stops the vomiting quickly and no side effects.

Sugar -- I suck hard candies or if I have none, I put a sugar under my tongue and it relieves the nausea.
