Q: migraine

i have migraines  maybe once a month during my period  they begin 3 days before  i was taking relpax omg they work 10 min after i take one its gone  but my insurence company no longer will couver it its $950  for 9 pills   i take imetrex generic brand and i hate it   is there any program avable  that would couver it?

Most prescription assistance programs aren't available if we have insurance. Still, it can be worth it to check. The best place to look is www.pparx.org.

 

Is that price from a mail order or local pharmacy? Whichever it is, their prices are FAR too high. That's over $100 per tablet, and the average price for Rexpax, 40 mg, is just under $25 per tablet.

You should go directly to the Pfizer website, fill out a patient assitance application and send in a letter with it explaining your circumstaneces. I have done that before and they approved me. Good luck! Also, I would fight your insurance company. Teri may be able to give you some pointers on how to do this.
