Hello,

-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-•*Welcome to MyMigraineConnection!*•-:¦:-•:*'""*:•.-:¦:-

All of the symptoms you listed can be Migraine symptoms. I'm really not sure about seizures.

Is there a history of Migraines, "sick headaches" or sinus headaches on either side of the family? Migraines are genetic even though we sometimes don't think of it because earlier generations called them "sick headaches," thought they were sinus headaches, or had them so seldom that they weren't really mentioned. Knowing the family history would be a big help to his doctors.

Have you taken him to a pediatric neurologist yet? If so, and you still don't have answers, it may well be time to consult a Migraine and headache specialist. It's important to note that neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine and headache specialists. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists. Some of the "regular" Migraine specialists see toddlers, some don't. You can check with their offices to find out. There is also a section specifically for pediatric specialists.

You're bound to be going through a rough time. If you'd like some additional support, come join our discussion forum. You'll need to register again once there because it's a separate membership database, but you can use the same member name, email address, and password that you used here. You can find our forum at http://forums.healthcentral.com/discussion/migraine/forums.

Please let me know what happens?

Good luck,

Teri

Thank you Teri.Yes I can remember as a child around the age of 7 experiencingmi grains. My son is only 3 years old and u would think that, at that age something has to be causing these migrains and what? Yes i took him to an pediatric neurologist and his report was normal and both the eeg and the mri was normal. Thats not enough information for me i need answers. Thanks again Teri for your helpful info and yes I will let youknow what happen.

One of our granddaughters had her virst Migraine at 2-1/2. It's enough to break your heart.

There have to be triggers. At his age, it may be more difficult figuring out what they are. You might try keeping a diary for him. You can download a diary workbook from our article Your Migraine and Headache Diary. Take a look at things like his sleeping habits, weather changes, exposure to lots of sun, things that you know to be triggers in adults. Any of those could be giving him problems.

Let us know how we can help.

This animation shows one of the key causes of pain during a migraine--changes to the blood flow within the brain.
