Hi Emitt,

Topamax is one of four medications the FDA has approved for Migraine prevention, along with Depakote, Inderal and Blocadren. Topamax and Depakote are antiseizure medications, Inderal and Blocadren are beta blockers.

Good luck

Nancy

Topamax is an antiseizure medication. My neurologist put me on it and I can see why they dont have seizures!! I could not put two words together or hold on to a thought.  The side effects I had were horrible.  Just be aware of the side effects!!

Wishing you well,

Kristin
