Q: I have had a migraine for 7 days and prednisone didn't work so now i'm on indomethacin but if it don't work I will get an injection for it. What generally causes migraines to last so long.

There are really many, many books written on why and how Migraine last so long. No one is for sure at this very moment. At this point, stopping this headache or Migraine that you've had for seven days needs to be a priority. When oral medications have failed, IV infusions will often break the cycle.
