Hi Manjth,

I wish I was able to give you a better answer but I'm not a medical professional and cannot help diagnose your friend. You wouldn't want that online anyway.

The only type of Migraine that has paraylsis (on one side of the body)as symptoms is Hemiplegic Migraine. Usually the paraylsis is fully reversible after the attack is over. This rare form of Migraine disease is hard to diagnose because its symptoms can mimic other vascular conditions is sometimes thought to be epilepsey or a stroke. This condition is best treated by a Migraine specialist, we have a list of patient recommended specialists you can see by clicking HERE.

Good luck

Nancy
