Just found out that I have an elevated TSH of 5.8 indicative of hypothyroidism. Could this be causing or be associated with my migraines. Might the migraines go away with treatment for hypothyroidism???

Hi DTK,

 

Thyroid issues may be a co-morbid with Migraine disease. This means they may occur at the same time, but are not caused by one another. However, thyroid issues can increase the frequency of Migraines. Our article Migraine, Headache, and Thyroid. This article has lots of good information.
