KC,

Hello and welcome!

I'm not sure how many people will be ableto respond to this question because people here who take Topamax would be taking it for Migraines and having a lot of head pain to begin with.

I just wanted to comment that most medications, Topamax included, list "headache" as a potential side effect.

Welcome again,

Teri

I am a woman 73yrs. old who has been suffering w/migraines for 49yrs....

I have migraines and also glaucoma in my right eye. When I was put on topomas as a preventitive, I developed headaches which were as severe as the migraines except they were over my entire forehead whereas my migraines are right sided. My eye doctor told me the topomax had raised the pressure in my eye and caused the headache. When I stopped the topamax the headache went away.

I was on topiramate for 2 months for migraines that I was having 4to 5 times a week.

The minute I started the medication I begain to get a different kind of headache 24/7

My head felt like it was going to burst from pressure and my temples throbbed. also

the top of my head throbbed.  Needless to say I went off of the medication  and

the headaches continue.

Good Luck
