Q: I am 65 years old and have had migraines all my life.

My doctor just started me on 80 mg of Inderal daily.  The improvement in reduction of

my migraines is a miracle.  It's just too bad I had to suffer for so many years.  Is there documented proof that beta blockers work for migraines?  Just what was so wrong in my head that the beta blocker is "helping" rid me of migraines?

Hi

What wonderful news to hear that you are having a reduction in your Migraine frequency.

Yes, beta blockers are commonly used for Migraine prevention. It is a crime that you had to suffer all those years in pain.

I wish you continued success.

Nancy
