Winter Holiday GuideEnjoying the Holidays Despite Migraines and Headaches --> Info for you...

Seriously, I can get more info that really really helps by asking other migraine sufferers online th

What is up with the professionals who respond here? I can't believe their answers...they are generalized and so vague, not helpful, and it frustrates  me that you can find more online just talking with others who have experience and history w/ migraines than here. It's a joke. Debilitating migraines have cost people so much pain and are rarely taken as seriously as they feel and affect us (esp in urgent care centers and ERs.) This is just another one of those places.

headbanger,

Would you care to give some examples of what you feel is generalized and vague so I know a bit better what you're unhappy with?

People sometimes ask questions that cannot be safely answered via the internet because nobody can know the answer without reviewing their medical history, discussing their symptoms, and examining them in person.

Whenever possible, we give people information that they can discuss with their doctors... information about different types of Migraines and headaches, their medications, other available medications and treatments... legal issues such as the ADA and FMLA... and more.

The bottom line is that we answer everything we can, but in the end, there's no substitute for seeing a doctor in person.

Huh? I've been looking to the internet for more information about migraines and headaches as long as the internet has been available. I've NEVER found a site that offers more information and help than this one.

What is it that you expect people here to say or do that they haven't been?

Sheesh! Who tinkled in YOUR Cheerios?

Let me guess. You think a Q & A means that the "professionals" are going to risk malpractice and other issues and give a diagnosis and medical advice online?

Get real. You won't find a better site for migraines.
