Q: I take 50mg 2x daily of topamax. I see what makes me think of spider webs in my peripheral vision

I take 50mg 2x daily of topamax.  I see what makes me think of spider webs in my peripheral vision.  I love that I have had no migraines and I don't mind the side effects.  What should I do.  The 'spiderwebs' are only there right when I wake up in the morning and then they go away.  I have not even been on the medication for a full month, will the side effect go away or is it dangerous.  I am worried I will get taken off the topamax and go back to having the migraines several days in a row several times a month.

Please call your doctor and report this right away. Topamax can cause serious vision problems; some of them reverisible, some permanent. For more information on this see Potential Vision Issues with Topamax.

Did your pharmacist give you a patient information sheet with your prescription? If not, please be sure to ask for one any time they don't offer it. The info sheet for Topamax gives this warning.

Please, let me know how things go?
