Q: There is no midrin anymore, but what is the name of the med that has 2 of its original chemicals?

Hi pjlvssr,

 

You may be thinking of Prodrin - but I don't think that will be made any longer either. A compounding pharmacy should be able to make some form of it for you, but without the sedating medication in it. It's ingredients, as Lisa said, are: Isometheptene, Acetaminophen and Dichloralphenazone. It is this last ingredient I beleive that some of the issues are with.

The other two ingredients are acetominophen and isometh.  I am not aware that there is a produced medicine with these two in it but there has been discussion on this board that you can purchase the combination through a compounded pharmacy.  (with a prescription from your doctor)
