Is it the overhead lighting itself that's the trigger? If so, desk lights and computer screen filters may not make any significant difference because it's the flicker of the fluorescent tube itself that's the Migraine trigger.
If it's glare on the laptop screen that's the problem, you can try putting a hood around the laptop to keep light from hitting the screen. An improvised hood can be made by draping cloth over objects set on both sides of the laptop or by cutting away part of a box and placing it partly over the laptop to block light hitting it from above.
