Hi angie,

You know, there are books upon books written on what causes pain! I wish I had the answer for you, but don't because it cannot be adequately answered online. A diagnosis can only be provided by a doctor who can review your medical history, your family's medical history, discuss your symptoms, and conduct a complete exam in person.

What I can tell you is that an easy way to tell the difference between head pain and a Migraine is when you bend over and put your head between your knees and if your head hurts more, then it is a Migraine. It not, it could be a whole host of other things.

Good luck

Nancy
