Namenda & Migraine Types cont.
Teri,
Again, thank you. You may have nailed it. And with the genetic information, it may all fit. Due to all of my other genetic & neuro complications I don't know if I need to add another specialist at this time. In our area, my neuro is supposed to be one of the best in regard to migraine. Although at our last visit I was quite upset due to the MCI dx and the suggestion to go on a dementia medication when I was told I don't have it at this time. I did drop off your brief article with him yesterday, and hopefully I will see some new relief.
Yes, I am aware that I can no longer take any of the Triptans. Midrin used to be my rescue, but since my lap-band I can no longer swallow capsules of any size. As my Namenda is increasing he is weaning me off of Topamax so the two aren't matching in effectiveness just yet. He will be trying another medication next month.
I also understand that by no means can you diagnose over the internet.
Chris,
Darn! Don't know how I missed this. Sorry.
I hope you're doing well and seeing some improvement.
Teri

I am seeing a lot of improvement to the severity and degree of headaches. It is a real relief. I have just started a new job and hope to be as headache-free as possible. I'm just thrilled to death that I am able to function. Along with the reduction of headaches, I am able to do more of my creative activities like beading, and just made a beautiful peyote bracelet to wear to work this morning.
It's great seeing the light and feeling more like my old self again. Although the job may be a challenge, I'm writing everything down.
