Chris,   It would be best to have a diagnosis that fits within the standards. I can't diagnose you, of course, but I can tell you that the only form of Migraine that causes true motor weakness (as opposed to tingling or numbness) is hemiplegic Migraine. You can read more about it in Hemiplegic Migraine - The Basics. This can be important since there are some Migraine medications that are not to be used for hemiplegic Migraine.   It doesn't surprise me that your neuro didn't know Namenda is being used for Migraine. Neurologists aren't necessarily Migraine specialists. They treat so many things that it's virtually impossible to keep up on research for all of them.   If you and your neuro don't make progress treating your Migraines, you may want to consider seeing a Migraine specialist. Take a look at the article Migraine and Headache Specialists - What's So Special? If you need help finding a Migraine specialist, check our listing of Patient Recommended Migraine and Headache Specialists.   Good luck, Teri
