I've been on midrin for years and I also have been on a variety  of narcotic pain meds over the last 12 years including methadone, morphine, & oxycontin in large dosages due to severe pain from a chronic disease. You certainly want to take precautions, especially in the beginning, until you are used to the side effects such as dizziness, sleepiness, clumsiness, shallow breathing, slow heart rate, blurred vision & slurred speech just to name a few. I wouldn't recommend driving, using heavy machinery or anything that requires full alertness. You can find more info on each medication if you research them online.                                             I hope this helps! Feel better, OK?
