Hi lorena,

Currently, Migraine is thought to be a genetic neurological disease caused by overactive neurons in our brains and genetics. So, yes it is a genetic disease. I bet if you look back in your family you may find people who had "sick" headaches or went to bed holding their heads "back in the day" til they felt better.

Does that help?

Nancy
