Q: new symptoms of pseudotumor cerebri, should i be worried?

So I was officially diagnosed with psuedotumor cerebri a few months ago, but have been experiencing its wrath for almost a year now. I have had all the traditional symptoms severe headache, loss of vision, neck pain, and pretty much everything else. so this morning when i woke up i felt something i have never felt before. My right leg was radiating throbbing pain. I tried a warm bath and muscle relaxer thinking it might just be a pinched nerve, but nothing worked. I am wondering if this is a symptom of pc or if it could be totally unrelated. I haven't fallen or had any injuries recently. The pain seems to be getting worse and i am starting to have a hard time walking. I called my drs office after hours answering service and the on call dr didn't think it was a big deal, but then again he didn't really know what pc was. So should i listen to him and just wait to see my dr on Thursday or should i go to the er or urgent care???? please I really need some help fast!Oh and btw I am still waiting to find out my surgery date to have my shunt placed. It is the only treatment for me because I have had severe allergic reactions to all of the medications used for psuedotumor cerebri.

Sammyjo,

What happened with this?

When you have something new like this, always see your doctor. Since you posted, thre have been several days when you could have called or seen your doc during office hours, so I'm anxious to know what happened.

Sorry you didn't get a faster answer, but we cannot handle emergencies here.

Please let us hear from you?
