Q: what happens if a 2 or 3 year old swallows a relpax 40mg

i found an open blister for relpx 40mg on the floor i think my 2 or 3 yr old boys swalloed it

The blister packs are pretty tough to open, even I have a hard time with them. He may experience potential side effects that can include drowsiness, dizziness, upset stomach and dry mouth.  A call to your son's doctor is a good idea.

 

Monitor your son to make sure he does not experience any other more potentially dangerous side effects. If this should happen then a trip to the ER is in order.

Nancy answered this well for you earlier. I just wanted to add that any time you think your child has swallowed something he or she shouldn't have, you should call a poison control center or your local emergency room.
