    Hi tenny,

It is usually a good idea to speak with our doctors when we have an increase in our Migraine patterns. Do you have more than three Migraines a month? Here's why I ask. Anyone having three or more Migraines a month needs to be talking with their doctor about prevention. There's growing evidence that Migraine is a progressive brain disease. A recent study showed that Migraines can cause brain damage, and that people with three or more Migraines a month are more susceptible to this damage. For more information, see Is Migraine a Progressive Brain Disease?Yes, Migraines Can Cause Brain Damage, and Migraine with Aura Linked to Late-Life Brain Lesions.

One of the most important things is to get an accurate diagnosis. This simplifies matters and makes it easier for people to get information and treatment. When diagnosing, doctors usually go by the gold standard for diagnosis, the International Headache Society's International Classification of Headache Disorders, 2nd Edition (ICHD-II). Under ICHD-II. You can read more about this in

Trigger identification and management is a vital component of managing Migraine disease. One of the best tools for identifying triggers is a good Migraine diary. You can download a free diary workbook from our article Your Migraine and Headache Diary. Some of us have food triggers; some of us don't. It's advisable to determine if your daughter does, and an elimination diet is the best way to do that. For more information and a workbook on this, see Managing Migraine - Migraine Trigger Foods

    I hope this information helps,

    Nancy

rahhh, me too!! i'm getting more migraines too, increasing over several months, and even past few years.  and even my husband feels more headachey lately, and he doesn't get migraines. i think part of it is there's more toxins in our environment and especially in the air.  this is just one of many sources of toxins, but when i see those stupid jets flying way up in the sky, dumping their thick white chemical trails into our nice, God given atmosphere.. it makes me so mad. how's anybody supposed to function?!
