    Pain behind left eye

I have had what my doctor thought was a bad virus the past two weeks -- fatigue, body aches, chills, low grade fever and no appetite.  I have lost almost 10 lbs. Prior to this I was relatively healthy 50 year old.  I never had any respiratory symptoms, only the above, but I have just felt "sick" and my whole body hurts.  I started having this headache last night with the pain behind and above my left eye.  Could this be related to the flu-like virus that my doctor thinks I've had?

    Hi, Susie,

I'm sorry you're not feeling well.

Yes, the headache could be relate to this virus, but it could also be something else entirely. Headaches should always be checked out to be sure they're not a symptom of something else and to ask about treating them. I'd suggest calling your doctor's office and telling them what's going on so they can tell you if you need to see your doctor and what to do about this headache.

Please keep me posted on how you're doing?

    Teri
