Heiferly,   There's no simple answer to this one. The only form of Migraine that can cause paralysis is hemiplegic Migraine, and many doctors don't prescribe triptans such as Maxalt for hemiplegic Migraine because they feel they're risky.   In general, Maxalt should resolve all Migraine sympotms, even if there is no headache with the Migraine. But, hemiplegic Migraines can be very different, and the neurological symptoms can last beyond the end of the Migraine.   Please discuss this further with your doctor.   Best wishes, Teri
