Q: I read in the "Orange Book" part of FDA's site that Maxalt MLT (Melt-in-mouth) will have its patent expire in 2012

Hi there!

 

Yes, I've seen that information too. Just checked the FDA web site, and two pharmaceutical companies have tentative approval for orally disintegrating rizatriptan tablets. Hopefully, that means there will be generics available very soon after the Maxalt patent expires.
