PCPerson,   That's a hard comparison to make. The reason one may work for a Migraineur when the other doesn't is that they bind to different combinations of serotonin receptors. Still, their actions are the same.   The labeling information for Imitrex and Maxalt carry pretty much the same warnings, and I don't know that either is considered "safer" than the other.
