My first real experience with chronic head pain...

Hi aliceng,

Has this every happened before? Changes in sleeping patterns may trigger a Migraine attack for some people. Maybe you didn't sleep well with wet hair which then triggered a Migraine.

We have information on Migraine triggers you can find on our Migraine trigger page, HERE.

Good luck

Nancy

Alice,

It's possible that the wet hair cause you to sleep in a strange postion or, as Nancy said, not sleep well. This is not only a potential Migraine trigger, but could also have brought on a headache. Headaches are different from Migraines. Migraine is a genetic neurological disease, and you didn't say if you've ever been diagnosed with Migraine.

It certainly couldn't hurt to mention this to your doctor, especially if it happens again. Unexplained head pain should always be checked out.

Hope we've helped a bit,

Teri
