I have been on topa for a good 6 1/2 years. I am on 400 mg and have not lost 1 pound. Weight loss is a side affect of topamax. It has helped many with loosing weight and inches but there still are plenty of topa users that sure wish their turn would come around.   Who knows if it will happen to you. I had every other s/e that topa has and I mean I had them hot and heavy. I weighted oh that should be waited to see when it was going to happen to me. Finally I gave in and realized I am not one of the chosen ones.   Good luck to you though. You still have time.   Marlene
